Active Radar Jammers

Active radar jammers are designed to send out their own radio signal on the police radar bands, in effect jam the police radar guns.

There are currently three radar bands, X band (used in NJ and Ohio), K band and Ka band. A forth band of Ku, may go into operation in late 2005.

Until recently, there have only been two active radar jammers sold on the Internet, the Scorpion RCD and the Phantom RCD.

Both of these jammers were developed by the same individual, but sold under different names by different Internet marketing companies.

This jammer sells between $400.00 to $600.00 and only jams the X band and K band. Ka band now accounts for over 40% of new radar gun sales. Therefore if you purchase this jammer, you would have no protection what so ever on this band.

In late 2005, a new radar jammer was introduced, the SCORPION "ULIMATE ka"

The Scorpion Ultimate Ka radar jammer is the first active radar jammer to be tested by Speed Measurement Labs that actually worked at jamming all the US radar bands!

This jammer is very bulky as it has two large antenna modules and a controller box. It is also very expensive - the Scorpion costs $1600!
